How it all started
My journey began when I was gifted a paracord bracelet as a 13-year-old. It didn’t quite fit—but instead of tossing it aside, I became curious. I picked up some paracord of my own, learned the basic knots, and started making bracelets that did fit. From there, I was hooked.
What fascinated me wasn’t just the utility of paracord—it was the creative freedom it offered. I started experimenting, crafting all kinds of things, from simple keychains to more complex weaves. Then one day, while reading a paracord blog, I stumbled across something that completely shifted my perspective: Treenets.
The idea of weaving a suspended, climbable, usable net between trees instantly drew me in. I decided to try making one, and the moment I finished that first Treenet, I knew I had found something special. The process was deeply relaxing and meditative, the outcome was beautiful, and best of all, it was something that brought people together. Over time, Treenets became more than just a creative outlet—they became a symbol of connection, presence, and peace for me. Every Treenet I weave is a way to slow down, focus on the moment, and share something lasting with the world.
That’s when Paracord That was born: a project rooted in creativity, community, and the simple joy of crafting something that invites people to connect and unwind.
So whether you're swinging, climbing, lounging, or just passing by—welcome to Paracord That, where we create free Treenets in parks, schools, and public spaces. Our mission is simple: connect people, bring joy, and give everyone a place to relax—no strings attached (except paracord!).
